CRAG Artist: Peggy Moon

Peggy Moon is a local artist with deep roots to the area going back to the 1800’s. She is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother to seven. She recently retired after 34 years of working with people having special needs and she is a lifelong lover of horses and other animals. 

Peggy has dabbled in art all her life but in recent years has become more serious and has studied with Barbara Nedd, has become an active member of Connecticut River Artisans Group, and has been selling and exhibiting her paintings. Peggy’s art is mostly based in watercolor and she has recently begun to include mixed media in her work. She is deeply influenced by local landmarks and on a summer’s day you can sometimes catch her painting them outdoors Plein Air.
